Miller de Nobili – PACK (01/2022)

music composition, recording, production, mixing and mastering

The choreography lasts approximately one hour, with a musical score of about forty-five minutes. I collaborated closely with the clients to transform their input into music that interacts dynamically with the evolving choreography, at times in the foreground, at times in the background, yet always organic and deeply intertwined with the movement.
Acoustic sounds from a plucked cello and an electric guitar played with a pick were electronically processed and transformed, evolving into fully reimagined textures that created a unique and immersive sonic landscape.
As described by its creators:
“We see a group testing the limits of their bodies. We hear their weight crashing on the dance floor and feel the breeze. Sometimes weightlessly whirling overhead, sometimes knotted up inside themselves and calm, the dancers open up the stage for themselves. What connects them? What rules, rituals and roles make up their togetherness? How does a common place emerge? What is possible in it? And how much can it withstand?”
